has already begun in her capacity at the performing arts center and will hit full stride with new menus, tastes and services when the 2007-2008 season begins in the early fall.
“I am delighted to start this new and exciting phase in my career,” Evers said. “I am looking forward to developing and expanding the food services and menus offered at TBPAC, and to making Maestro’s a culinary bright spot in downtown Tampa. Folks already know that TBPAC is the best place to find world-class performances and entertainment in the Tampa Bay area ─ I want them to think of our food services in the same way.”
Javier Rasmussen, director of TBPAC’s food and beverage division, called Evers “an asset to the organization.” He mentions that her “passion for food, pride and her out of the box thinking is what will set us apart from the competition”
For more that 25 years, Evers has been caterer to celebrities and stars, gala attendees and the general public. She began her career in the heart of Creole country, New Orleans, and perfected local fare from Australia to London; Evers knows how to prepare a memorable feast for the eyes and palate, no matter the audience or event size. She’s handled events for Donald Trump, Harrison Ford, Diane Sawyer and Mike Nichols, the late Ed Bradley and has exceeded the culinary expectations at events for companies like Kenneth Cole, GQ Magazine, Conde Nast Publications, Morgan Stanley and many more. Tampa residents and philanthropists have become familiar with her cuisine at events for the Lowry Park Zoo, the Spring of Tampa, the Henry B. Plant Museum, the Tampa Museum of Art and Tampa General Hospital, among others. |
